Fencers head to New York for important tournament

Penn State fencers will be heading to New York Saturday where they will compete in the first NCAA tournament of the season. Both the men's and women's teams will be taking 30 fencers to the competition, where they will face the best fencers Harvard, Sacred Heart, Princeton, Vassar and NYU have to offer. If the teams can win it will be Coach Emmanuil Kaidanov's 700th career victory.

Willette recounts Beijing Olympics

When Doris Willette recalled watching her teammate Erinn Smart get the final touch against the Hungarian fencing team, advancing the United States into the gold medal round, she described it as the most memorable experience of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
