The loud cheers and competitive banter between juniors Clarence Smith and Ryan Taylor echoed through the gym Wednesday when practice finally came to an end.
Once junior Frank Duca finishes a final, he goes to track practice and focuses on lifting and throwing.

It came as no surprise to the No. 1 Penn State men’s volleyball team that its near-perfect season would be rewarded with the top seed in the national tournament.
As a worn-out Mike Cadau entered Franklin Field on Thursday, he was awoken by 50,000 screaming fans. He felt a jolt of adrenaline as he noticed few sections with empty seats.

With Arkansas men's track and field coach John McDonnell set to retire at the end of this outdoor season, the sport will lose a legend -- and Penn State coach Beth Alford-Sullivan will lose a mentor.

Ryan Taylor's journey to Penn State has spanned two countries, two states and two universities -- but that was all while competing for just one coach.
The only difference between the indoor and outdoor seasons, according to track and field coach Beth Alford-Sullivan, is one involves a roof and one doesn't.
