Bob Warming is less than pleased with the Penn State men's soccer team's road record over the past four seasons.
While the Big Ten Tournament will take place at Jeffrey Field and the yearlong 100-year celebration of the program, the first-year head coach knows if the team wants to contend for a title, it will start on the road.
Ideally, Bob Warming would like his team to have at least two more preseason exhibitions on its schedule.
The Penn State men's soccer coach knows his squad can benefit from traveling together and learn to come together as a team with extra practice in a game scenario.
Years before they started taking the sideline together at Penn State, Erica Walsh and Ann Cook were teammates at William & Mary.
This Sunday, the two will simply have to turn to their right and look down the touchline to see a familiar face from their past, a man they refer to simply as "JD".

Mark Fetrow has played soccer all his life, is a starting centre back and was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman team in 2008, but first-year coach Bob Warming has managed to teach the junior a few things he never knew.
The posters are being given out all around town: 100 years of history and greats from the past subdued in the background as five current men's soccer players erupt forward into the future.
As a heavy drizzle picked up to a light rain late Saturday night, Bob Warming stood soaked and satisfied under the bright lights of Jeffrey Field.

There was a void on the sideline where the two coaches stood -- one, Isang Jacob, in a beanie. The other, Ryan Defibaugh, wearing no hat with his blonde hair exposed.
With defenders converging on him, Mackenzie Arment connected on a spiraling left-to-right shot from 25 yards out as the goalkeeper extended to try and stop it.
